Career Academy, Open Doors and Internet Academy are choice schools within the Federal Way School District. As choice schools, admission is not guaranteed. Transportation to and from Truman Campus is not provided. Scholars can access public transportation via the Federal Way Transit Center, approximately one block from the campus.

Internet Academy families must supply their own computer and internet access.

Waitlist in effect. Applications are added once attendance and transportation are confirmed.

Internet Academy Deadlines

  • November 5: Last day to apply to Internet Academy grades 9-12. Registration (including any out-of-district agreements) must be submitted by Nov. 8
  • November 10: Last day for high school students to start iA for Semester 1
  • November 24: Last day to apply to Internet Academy grades K-8. Registration (including any out-of-district agreements) must be submitted by Nov. 27
  • December 1: Last day for elementary students to start iA for Semester 1
  • December 15: Internet Academy begins accepting Interest Applications for Semester 2
  • February 2: Semester 2 begins

Open Doors

You may complete the interest application to attend Federal Way Open Doors at any time. For our in-person diploma pathway, scholar start dates will be at the start of a new semester or quarter.

Completing the interest application is the first step to enrolling in a Truman Campus school. Our admissions specialist will review submissions and contact applicants with next-steps.
